Marcia Allin attended the "Advanced Research Tools: Land Records" course this past January coordinated by Rick and Pam Sayre. Here is her testimonial on why you should plan to attend the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy in 2015:
"At the suggestion of a Professional Genealogist friend, I attended Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy for the first time in 2012. I attended 4 of the evening sessions that year and found them very informative and given by expert Genealogists. In 2013, I attended the American Records and Research: Focus on Localities and found the class to have an abundance of information given by an expert genealogy coordinator and several expert speakers. This year, 2014, I attended the class Advanced Research Tools: Land Records. This class was again full of information that I will use frequently and was taught by Certified Genealogy Lecturers and other speakers demonstrating their expertise.
The SLIG staff members were extremely helpful, i.e.: emails concerning class, attempting to assure a hotel room for anyone who might need it, to the everyday details of helping an institute to run smoothly.
I would strongly recommend any attendance at SLIG, from evening sessions to a full week class."
See http://www.infouga.org/cpage.php?pt=314 for the list of courses being offered in 2015. Also, take advantage of being able to attend the Association of Professional Genealogists' Professional Management Conference, which will be held in conjunction with SLIG. It is a twofer you don't want to miss!
