SLIG 2017 - Refining Internet and Digital Skills for Genealogy


Genealogists have data, data, data! Often piles of it stacked on every available flat surface in their home.

Have you ever wondered how to utilize Microsoft Office, Evernote, Dropbox, Google Drive and mobile devices in your genealogical research to help you organize all that information? 

How comfortable are you using advanced Google Techniques and Online Finding Aids?

These are just a few of the topics that will be covered in the course “Refining Internet and Digital Skills for Genealogy” with coordinator Cyndi Ingle. It’s an amazing educational opportunity and it’s the FIRST time it’s been offered at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy.

  • Thomas W Jones, PhD, CG, CGI, FASG, FUGA, FNGS, Can a Complex Research Problem be Solved Solely Online?
  •  Michael D Lacopo, DVM, Strategic Searching When things are Unfindable, Records by type, Show me the Money: Taxes, Wills and Probate.

 There is also an opportunity for consultations with Cyndi, one of the pioneers in internet genealogy, Cyndi is the creator of Cyndi's List, found in many genealogists online toolboxes.
