Hilton Dining Options at SLIG 2019

The Hilton Salt Lake City Center has put some thought into this year's offerings to make it easier for SLIG participants to eat and network with friends without leaving the hotel until classes are over.

Both breakfast and lunch specials are available for SLIG students, as well as enhanced and centralized Grab and Go items.

Starbucks

Located just inside the entrance to the Trofi Restaurant, Starbucks offers beverages, pre-packaged sandwiches, and pastries. They will be open from 6:00 am until 3:00 pm Monday through Friday of SLIG week and 6:00 am to 2:00 pm other days. Limited seating is available; participants may also sit in Trofi when purchasing from Starbucks.

Grab-and-go items will be available from Starbucks this year. Offerings such as the Turkey Club Sandwich, Roast Beef with Gouda Sandwich, Turkey Cobb Salad, Chicken Caesar Salad, and Caprese Salad will be available for anywhere from $6-$7.50. Additional items such as chips, beverages, snacks, or candy bars will also be available for purchase if desired. Gluten-free items will be available. This replaces the lunch kiosks on the 2nd floor this year.

Trofi Restaurant

Enjoy a hot breakfast buffet with omelets made to order for $18 (special SLIG price, tax and tip included), or order items a la carte from the menu at the price listed. They are open 6:30 - 10:30 am.

Trofi will also offer a special lunch buffet for SLIG participants for $20 (tax and tip included), Monday through Friday of SLIG week and Tuesday through Thursday of Academy week. Make sure you are wearing your name badge to take advantage of this offer. Guests are welcome, but it will not be open to the public. No need to pre-purchase. The menu will be published in your syllabus materials so you can plan ahead.

Fine Dining in the Hilton

Hilton is home to Spencer’s for Steaks and Chops. One of Salt Lake's oldest steakhouses, this "Best of State" and "Wine Spectator Award of Excellence" restaurant, offers a fine dining experience. Seating is available for groups, in booths, at high tables, and in the bar area for a variety of experiences. 

Room Service

Hilton offers room service from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Spencer’s Bar

The gathering place for a casual drink while staying at the Hilton. Located in the front of Spencer’s restaurant.

Special Dietary Needs

The Hilton offers gluten-free options at all three dining facilities. Other dietary needs accommodated upon request.

Hilton Honors Benefits (as of December 2018)

Gold and Diamond Level members will receive complimentary continental breakfast in Trofi each morning for themselves and up to one additional guest staying in the same room (or bonus points, but not both). Diamond Level members also receive bonus points as well as executive level access, where a small hot/continental breakfast and hot hors d'oeuvres are served weekdays. The continental breakfast may be upgraded to the full buffet for a small fee.
