Announcing SLIG 2020 Academy Courses

We are pleased to announce the course lineup for the 2nd Annual SLIG Academy for Professionals to be held January 20 - 24, 2020.

Back by popular demand:

• DNA for the 21st-Century Professional, with Angie Bush, MS
• Public Speaking from Concept to Delivery, with D. Joshua Taylor, MA, MLS
• Building and Nurturing a Successful Genealogy Business, with Jeanne Larzalere Bloom, CG

Announcing three new courses:

• Writing and Documenting for Peer Review, with Karen Mauer Jones, CG, FGBS, FUGA
• Fundamentals of Forensic Genealogy, with Catherine B.W. Desmarais, CG
• Project Management Essentials for the Professional Genealogist, with Brent M. Hansen, DBA, PMP, IPMI-C.

The 2020 Academy will feature more networking opportunities, a welcome breakfast and commemorative celebration in honor of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., a closing luncheon, and optional half-day workshops on Friday afternoon.

Registration will open on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm MDT.
