SLIG Fall Virtual 2022: Advanced Techniques for Mastering Online Searches and Uncovering Digital Records

Are you exhausting everything online as you undertake reasonably exhaustive research? Probably not.

Advanced Techniques for Mastering Online Searches and Uncovering Digital Records, coordinated by D. Joshua Taylor, MA, MLS, FUGA, will be offered during SLIG Fall Virtual 2022 for the first time in a multi-week format. This course specifically teaches advanced search skills for subscription family history websites while also focusing on unindexed digitized materials from libraries, archives, museums, and other repositories across the United States. Many hands-on opportunities will be provided. The online environment for this experience is perfect for instant exploration of websites and applying the new skills you are learning.

Additional faculty include:

  • Melinda Kashuba, PhD
  • Cheri Hudson-Passey
  • Gena Philibert-Ortega, MA, MAR
Mastering Online Searches is scheduled to meet Thursdays, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Mountain Time, September 15 through November 17, 2022.
