Working with legal records and sources, Judy will teach how these records along with an understanding of legal history and its impact can be used to solve genealogical problems. Paul K. Graham, AG, CG, CGL  is the coordinator for "Advanced Genealogical Methods".
Structured for the High Intermediate researcher, the goal for students is to build skills by learning advanced techniques for using evidence form genealogical sources, methods for assembling, and using documents to discover ancestors. Writing proof arguments, creating a credit record will also be included in this course.

SLIG 2021 Courses Week 1-Meeting Standards Using DNA Evidence

This year, SLIG is going virtual and offering two weeks of programming for you to choose from.
You may register for a course each week!

Week 1: January 10-15, 2021
Karen Stanbary, MA., LCSW, CG is once again offering her course, "Meeting Standards Using DNA Evidence: Research h Strategies".  In this advanced course, students will use familiar skills in genealogy research and give them a DNA twist with the goal of using them to meet the DNA-Related standards and the Genealogical Proof Standard.  The class will meet daily for a DNA Dreamer's think-tank to focus on brick walls submitted by volunteers. In addition, participants will help to create a "Golden Nuggets Quick Sheet" of tips and tricks learned throughout the week.
