Pre-1837 English Research: Digging Deeper coordinated by Paul Milner, MDiv, FUGA is an intermediate to advanced course providing an in-depth look at pre-1837 English research methods.
The course will include the various levels of society from the wealthy to the poor.

This year, SLIG is going virtual and offering two weeks of programming for you to choose from.

Week 2-January 24-29, 2021
Introduction to Genetic Genealogy coordinated by Paul Woodbury, MEd is a hands-on course to help students master the basics of genetic genealogy. Create testing plans, learn to evaluate the chances of success, and how to follow genetic genealogy ethics. Students will also be able to identify and evaluate likely relationships and DNA matches and so much more. The course also includes a consultation outside of class time.

This year, SLIG is going virtual and offering two weeks of programming for you to choose from.

In-Depth African American Genealogy coordinated by LaBrenda Garrett-Nelson, JD, LLM, CG, CGL will provide a foundational overview of the records and strategies needed to research African American ancestors.
Researching enslaved families in the antebellum era and strategies for West India research will be included in the course.
