SLIG Policies Published

It is always nice to know where one stands. The recent implementation of the GDPR by the European Union brought the need for a more clearly defined privacy policy to our attention. An incident related to respect reminded us that our long-standing expectations needed to be written. And confusion over the cancellation policy dictated that we add a check-box to our registration form to indicate agreement.

Add to that new procedures - such as the opportunity to extend invitational events to participants - and policies previously published in syllabus material, one ends up with very long, text-heavy page.  OK, "text-heavy" is an understatement; "text-only" would be more appropriate, but highly important text. It has been the year to consolidate and codify.

Therefore, as we open the new registration season, we also introduce our new "Policies" page - complete with Privacy, Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, Cancellation, and more.

We invite you to read through this page thoroughly (excerpt below) before setting up your new registration account and/or registering for SLIG. You will be asked to acknowledge that you have read and agree to abide by these policies at various points in the registration process in an effort to assure we are all on the same page. We hope this effort creates a better learning environment for all.
